They are almost gods themselves, and under their service she is either going to end up sentenced to death, or else they are going to ruin her so badly that she will wish for it. Under the sudden, watchful eye of the gods, she will be tasked to serve the Abcurse brothers, five sols built of arrogance, perfection and power.

Her life will be one of servitude to the sols, the magic-blessed beings who could one day be chosen to become gods.Īt least her outer village is far removed from the cities of the sols, and she won’t ever be forced to present herself to them… Until one small mistake changes everything, and Willa is awarded a position to serve at Blesswood, the top sol academy in the world-a position that she definitely did not earn. In fact, dirt might actually be more useful than Willa. In Minatsol, being a dweller means that you are literally no better than dirt. I committed the entire series just so I can see them together, and because of that, I am thoroughly disappointed. To make things, worse, it seems like this series is just going to be a 5 book series, which means no more Jaxon and Bryn, and that pisses me even more off because we literally get 5 CHAPTERS of them together, and that’s it. But when you came into something expecting one thing and didn’t get it…you get disappointed. This probably the reason why I am so disappointed in this series.ĭon’t get me wrong, this series was a really, really great read.

I read this series for two reasons: this series greatly resembled The Dragonian Series by Adrienne Woods, and two, I know that Bryn would end up with Jaxon. But even focusing on staying alive is difficult when you’re falling for someone you can’t have.

She’ll need to learn to control her dragon powers if she wants to make it through her first year at school.

The new girl with the striped hair is a breath of fresh air, and with Bryn’s help, they may be able to change the rules.Īt the Institute, old grudges, new crushes, and death threats are all part of a normal day for Bryn. Segregated clans, being told who to love, and close-minded leaders make freedom of choice almost impossible. Since Bryn is the only crossbreed at the Institute for Excellence, all eyes are on her, but it’s a particular black dragon, Zavien, who catches her attention. Being hauled off to an elite boarding school is enough to choke on. If her love life is going down in flames, she might as well spark a revolution.įinding out on your sixteenth birthday you’re a shape-shifting dragon is tough to swallow.
